Bella Vista Motel

You cannot get a better location. Copper Harbor is a very tiny, remote town at the gorgeous top of the Keweenaw Peninsula. Very limited services as far as lodging, eating, and supplies. Cell service is non-existent so plan things out ahead of time. Breakfast restaurant was only accepting cash and I dont think there was an ATM available at that time in town. Even if you can find wifi, it's very slow. Not complaining, just want ya'll to know ahead of time, just little things. Bella Vista is an older property that's been prettied up. Small room, looks nice. No air conditioning, which would've been fine but the very late-season heat wave sucked. The walls are thin between rooms, I slept with earbuds and white noise. Named correctly, the Bella Vista has a postcard-perfect view of Lake Superior at Copper Harbor. The boat dock is visible out your back doorwall window and you will hear the boat horn on arrivals and departures. Very clean rooms are spartan with decor but arranged well. No AC but that is rarely needed in the area as the cool breeze flows through the room through the front screen door or front screened windows or the large screened window door wall facing the lake. Excellent water pressure and heavy insulation make for a quiet room. Extra large parking spaces at your door.

What a delightful place! We had a motel room right on the water. A sliding glass door opened to a deck area with chairs overlooking the harbor. Gorgeous view for both sunrise and sunset. The grounds are lushly landscaped with grassy areas and many beds with flowers and plants. It was so peaceful and relaxing! Room was basic but quite comfortable. Self-serve coffee is available at the office in the mornings, with real cream/creamer (much appreciated). Easy walk to the shops & cafes in town.

Officiated at Grandsons Wedding... People and friends from 12 states came. Sleeping in RV's and other hotels and the Bella Vista Motel we-all spent 4 days in the Copper Harbor area /town. Great food from Harbor Haus and a bakery or two we enjoyed each other and the great landscape with lakeviews. Our cabin was #4 and was cute but very claustraphobic. The beds were also pretty hard so we didn't sleep well. But "all and all" we had a great time. Upgrading these cabins and some of the other rooms needs to continue to happen. Would stay at "BV" again but whould want a more "open" cabin...Thanks for welcoming another bunch of "tourons" to your community, it's parks and attractions. The location and the views honestly cant be beat. It was amazing. While the hotel was clean, the amount of mold in the shower/caulk was insane. Also lots of stains on the carpet. Nice front desk person!
