Miller Bar Campground

Nice place to dry camp. I got down there with my 30' camper. 4x4 recommended but not a must. There are some locals living down there, but they were decent, but we didn't have any trouble. Look out for the drop-off where the pavement ends. Stay left.

Wow, what a spectacular place with free camping!! Spent some time fishing the river, swimming (even though its freezing) and just relaxing. I actually ended up spending two nights here since it was so nice. Lots of wildlife too. River otters, newts, crawdads, and mergenser ducks. If you’re thinking about stopping here, DO IT!

Quiet, and beautiful setting. Everyone had dogs that poop everywhere with no cleanup. USFS keeps the bathrooms (1 outhouse, 2 portapotties) stocked and clean and garbage emptied. People still left toilet paper on the banks, and prolly their waste. Easy access via steep paved road onto bar, tho end of road into bar would be challenging for non-high clearance as it is eroded and potholed.

Nice place to hang for a few days. Quite a few other campers, some may be more of a permanent resident, but everyone kept to themselves. I was surprised to see a few portable toilets out there, even more surprised when I noticed there was even TP. However, to use their TP, you have to get there the first few days of the month. It appears they get cleaned at the end of each month.

26 Aug 2025 - Absolutely stunning area, but boat ramp not maintained making it impossible to access the bar without a jeep or similar high clearance vehicle. Road ends in steep drop to cobbled beach. No trailer or RV could survive it. The alt routes made by users around the drop had rocks sharp enough to puncture average tires and large enough to high-center a car.
