Mermaid Inn

As soon as we walked in the room at the mermaid it smelled so clean and refreshing. The beds are super soft and it is a very quiet place. The room was super larger and very clean. Probably one of the cleaniest hotels I have stayed in in a while. Thank you mermaid inn for a great place to relax for the night. We will definitely be back and definitely pass the word around about how nice it was thanks again

Roaches, mouse droppings, cigarette burn holes in the sheets, stains in the towels, pubes in the bathroom, AC not working in the middle of June. After staying in the room for less than an hour, we requested a refund and after providing proof, we were denied because we didn’t give them the opportunity to clean the room. If there’s roaches, there’s roaches. New sheets aren’t going to change that. Communication was a nightmare. Photos on Expedia and other websites were a misrepresentation of the property. Staff was HORRIBLE and never responded to my emails when I requested a further explanation. Other guests smoking a bong on the steps was the cherry on top! This place could be great if someone else owned it. You will always deal with them over text messages or possibly a phone call if you're lucky. The 4PM check in and 10 AM check out is basically stealing a day from you. We get there and as soon as we open the door we see feces in the floor and it sure didn't look like animal feces. I immediately "text" the company and want a refund. I'm told that wouldn't be possible. So against better judgements we go buy products and clean the room ourself. The next night we were invaded by cockroaches. Once again I text them and tell them this trip was shaping up to be a hellish nightmare. They finally offer to change our rooms. That wouldn't work for us, because of a bad knee, I can't climb steps very well. So, again, I go to the store and buy roach tr

I had such a wonderful stay at the Mermaid Inn in Myrtle Beach! The location is perfect—right on the ocean with easy access to the beach, so I could enjoy the sunrise each morning. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing getaway. The staff was friendly, helpful, and always made me feel welcome. I also loved the pool area and how close it was to great restaurants and attractions. Overall, the Mermaid Inn has that cozy charm while still being affordable. Definitely a great spot to stay!
