Meridian Plaza

This place is absolutely horrible. My parents booked a room for 6 weeks and from day 1 there have been nothing but problems. They spent the first 2 weeks with a malfunctioning furnace having multiple people come and go claiming it was fixed. A few weeks later the elevator stopped working. They were on the 14th floor so basically stranded until it was fixed. The code to the main door changed without notice. Then the water was cut off for a day without notice. The room they stayed in did not have an oven to cook and they had to buy a coffee maker, toaster and can opener. The host of this rental should be embarrassed to rent this piece of garbage. We are currently working on getting partial refund. The only positive was the ocean view. Renters beware!

So I ended up booking this through air b and b. So this is about the state of this “plaza” “hotel” type building. So starting off with the good. It’s on the water and you have a balcony on some that faces the water. Ok now the bad. |So the pool was warmer than the outside temp at 85 degrees when we went. The place looks so run down on the inside from the minute you walk in. The first night we were here the ac went out forcing me to contact the host and they ended up reaching out the the property company that owns it. Took almost 48 hours for them to remotely do anything about it. Mind you being 85-87 outside on the 14th floor. We had to rent a room for we are here for a romantic week getaway from work. Crazy just trying to get in the building, scaffolding everywhere, kinda dangerous but ok ,get to room the bed is terrible! I ended up sleeping on a couch which was terrible also! room # 1202,beautiful view,

It’s important to know that these rooms are individually/independently owned condos. I can only vouch for Steve & Sarah (most recently we stayed in their suite #802) and in another they own in the building over the past few years. They are GREAT, their spaces are updated and always clean. Yes, the building is a bit older than its neighbors on the block but the management keeps it well tended. Pool works, grounds are clean, etc. great location!

By far the worst hotels I've stayed at. There was mold everywhere which is a health hazard they only provided us with 4 towels for a group of 6. Everything you could think was wrong was wrong. There was a leak in our room right on top of countertop which they didn't let me know until 30 minutes prior to the stay. I do not recommend this hotel at all. I will not be staying here ever again. The pull out bed was broken and lopsided and the bathroom door couldn't lock and the lock wasn't put on right I just had the worst experience at this hotel.
