Nothing 'special' by any means. Property + cabins need a LOT of work! Being 'newer owners, I get it. That being said, I talked to the owner 2x about what was included in the kitchen of our cabin so we knew what Extras to bring & to confirm our reservations. He & his Wife were extremely nice & accommodating. They actually gave us an upgrade on our cabin @ no additional charge since we were pretty much the only people there after the Labor Day weekend & things tapered off. We went from a Six person cabin to a Fourteen person cabin at their cost. And, let's not forget about Charlie - the residential pet (dog). Such a Sweet & Friendly boy! He'd make his way up to our cabin numerous times & hang out w/ us plus hung out w/ us at the river. We've been to nicer places, yet they were 2x the price &

The staff is absolutely wonderful but the cabins on the other hand cost way too much for what it is. They should be like $85 a night. There was mouse poop everywhere so we didn’t keep our stuff in there when we floated the nest day. Some of the outlets didn’t work so tv wasn’t an option at night for the little ones. No wash clothes but that’s fine. The ac unit barely worked and was full of mold so the room was barely cool. But we had a great trip and made the best out of it. Just definitely needs lots of upgrades to charge $444 for the weekend.

Hello, our group stayed at the Whoot Owl Cabin on Saturday the 15th with check out on the 16th. We shared our comments with the owners via email and received no response and wanted to share on social media. We WILL NOT go back again!||We were disappointed in our experience.||First, there was a dead mouse in the pull out couch in the front living room area. It had been dead long enough it did not stink thus had not been pulled out and checked in a long time.||Second, the downstairs toilet had not been cleaned before our stay. There were urine stains from the group staying there before. We had to clean before using.||Third, there were not enough linens provided for all the beds in the cabin. We slept upstairs. There were 4 beds and only 2 sets of linens provided.||We understand this is

We rented the Whoot Owl. It's their largest cabin at a 16 person capacity. Trust me when I tell you, you do not want 16 people in it. There are 6 full size beds. The beds were clean and comfortable. There are 2 pullout couches, which I'm sure were from the 70s. They were clean though, and surprisingly comfortable. There were cooking utensils, plates, and cups (including coffee mugs) in the cabinets, and a TV, which we didn't watch because we were there to enjoy each other's company and the river. There was a weird smell by the cabinet in the kitchen where the extra bedding for the pullout couches was kept, which made me glad we brought our own bedding. The stairs up to the loft, where 4 of the 6 beds are, are beautiful, but unstable and very steep. There's no "hangout" space, and the paint

I’ve never stayed at the cabins but I’ve been coming to this resort for years for float trips. Today we met the owner and she gave us a lot of insight and after speaking to her I would 100% choose them over any other campground or cabin rental. Rivers flood and the owners here are always diligently watching weather reports and water levels. The safety of their guests is SO important to them. She mentioned other camp sites have been flooded out with guest tents ruined. She ALWAYS makes sure her guests are out of harms way. The missing picnic tables mentioned below were due to a recent flood that took them out. Her neighbor did bring them back. I think it’s important as a guest to note it’s impossible to get insurance in an area that floods a lot. The owners lose everything when these areas
