Meadows of Dan Campground & Cabins

My wife and I stayed a weekend with friends for a motorcycle rally and because my wife dislikes camping we stayed in one of 5 available cabins. The cabin we chose slept 4 (1 double bed and 2 twins in a loft). The cabin is very clean and we'll taken care of. It had a full kitchen with full size refrigerator microwave and coffee pot. The bathroom was small but well maintained. ||The campground itself was very clean with power and hookups at all spots except for the tent camping area. The shower room and toilets were all clean well taken care. There is a small play area for kids, but no swimming pool. || The location of the campground is perfect for excursions down the Blue Ridge Parkway and to Mabry Mill. || The only downside to the campground is the limited internet. We love everything about this cabin! It is very clean with all modern conveniences and at the same time it has a warm and cozy feel with lovely quilts, pine walls, and a comfortable bed. The hosts are friendly and went out of their way to make sure of our comfort. We look forward to staying here again next time we visit family in Meadows of Dan!

Another great stay in the cabins at Meadows of Dan campground. I’m a repeat visitor, staying about every three months for work and highly recommend this lodging. Cabo s are cozy, clean, easy check in and just a half mile from convenience store, fuel, food and a very cute shop with lots of artisan creations.

Very good, could be great. Location and local attractions are fantastic! Blue Ridge Parkway, Chateau Morrisette and other local wineries, local stores and restaurants within a few minutes. Camp sites are mostly nice, albeit a bit close to neighboring campers and some sites a little small. Very large rvs might have issues finding a site to accommodate them. A few signs pointing out the various site #s would be helpful.

Rv sight. Put in the worst site in the park#9. Broken water hook up. Was able to move to an acceptable sight. No internet, yet they are charging $50 a night. I’ve stayed here several times, but I think I’m done, there are much better parks down the road.
