McMillan Campground

Beautiful sites and had it to ourselves on a weeknight in November. No water in the creek when we went but lots of big trees and nice way to cool off when it is warm in the low desert where our RV is. Speaking of RVs, leave yours at home! Narrow highway getting there from silver, rough road in campground, and no space to park a trailer. We were glad we tent camped. Even our F-150 seemed big for the narrow road and sparse parking options. I saw others mention highway traffic we heard a little in the day, not to much at night. You really cant go too fast thru there due to drop offs so I never thought the noise was an issue

Beautiful campground. It has a wonderful trail that Leads to a deep canyon with a waterfall. It's Not labeled but is about 1 miles hike. This Leads straight from the park itself. Bathrooms, trash receptacles, benches/tables and fire pits. Dont know what more you could need.

Free and clean area to camp. No problem getting a 20 foot camper in. Thereare fire pits, an outhouse and picnic tables. Only con is you are relatively close to the road and see / hear traffic that passes by. But it was quiet at night.

I liked the small campground, on 3 camping spots, really. Like the pine needle trail paths. Soft on my small dog's feet.

Small, three-table campground with trash, toilet, and fire rings, trails, and will trap you when the creek rises. A mile up the road from Cherry Creek campground, and a sign is posted advising against bringing in trailers due to the creek crossings.
