Georgetown Cabins Resort

What a fabulous get away. Susie is very responsive and was able to accommodate us for an early arrival. The cabin was immaculate, cozy and comfortable. Susie provided great info with regard to attractions and local history on Georgetown. We explored the Gila Cliff Dwellings and enjoyed a gorgeous hike on the Catwalk Trail. We will definitely be making a return trip to Georgetown Cabins.

My wife and I tend to vacation quite often in New Mexico, but had never been to the southwest part of the state prior to our trip in May 2021. The Georgetown Cabins Resort proved to be the perfect getaway location and base of operation for our week's stay. Owner Susie met us at the Brannin cabin (one of six available to rent) and showed us around, explained the privacy gate, and informed of us of different activities and sites in the area. The cabin provided everything we needed, right down to a coffee maker with coffee and filters so we could have breakfast outside and enjoy our beautiful view every morning before heading out. We drove the 5 mile forest service access road in the heavy rain, which meant crossing several rough patches of road, including multiple areas of water running across the road, an exciting adventure for us. Thankfully we had an SUV! Once we arrived, the running water and erosion prevented vehicle access to our reserved cabin up the steep hill, so Susan moved us to the Judge Lucas cabin. |Judge Lucas was absolutely perfect for us. Our cabin was spacious, very clean and well appointed. We slept very well. Wish we had more time to enjoy the great views, the night sky and just relax. The high point of our weekend was visiting the Gila Cave Dwellings and then showering off at the cabin as the temperatures were quite high.

Our review is just a little late, but there is so much that we can say about our stay here! We stayed the weekend of March 27th for 2 days and would have happily extended our stay if it wasn't for work. We stayed at the beautiful Mitchell Cabin! Everything about this place exceeded what a getaway meant. The drive up was so exciting. Especially for a City girl like myself. The dirt road the leads up to the cabin opened up to a resort atmosphere nestled deep in the forest. Our little mustang handled it more than well! We were greeted by Sue, who gave us a little historic background on the particular part of the forest that we were in. Then she gave us the ability to self tour, in which we immediately fell in love!
