Bear Mountain Lodge

This place is an awesome Zen getaway nestled in the hills of the Gilas. In-house restaurant available with a 24 hr. advance reservation, homemade breakfast inclusive in the room price, 3-ish miles of attached hiking trails, bring your horse if you've got one, dog friendly, I could go on and on! Don't expect TV in your room...there are none. But you get to fine tune your socializing skills, which we've been lacking a bit of since the infamous lock down. Love this place!!

The lodge is lovely with comfortable rooms and nice common areas. Wonderful breakfasts and had a delicious dinner. There are great trails and fun art on the grounds. We are so glad we booked there and recommended them highly.

Had an excellent visit, delicious dinner and breakfast. We will be back! I love that the whole lodge is an art gallery as well. The 1 million bones project was a surprise to me.

This was just a short visit as I had to bring something to Silver City for an upcoming art show but, as usual, Bear Mountain Lodge did not disappoint. The impeccably kept lodge, rooms and grounds always comfort, sooth and refresh. The food was delicious as usual, the staff friendly and attentive as I have come to expect. Before my dinner, I ran the trails around the grounds, sprinkled on by brief but refreshing showers and arrived back at the lodge relaxed and ready to dine on the patio surrounded by grounds brightened by the rain. A good night of sleep and then a breakfast served very early by an eager to please staff. If you haven’t been to Bear Mountain Lodge, do yourself a favor and make time. You won’t regret it.

My wife and I had the good fortune of staying at the Bear Mountain Lodge during our recent visit to the Silver City area. The lodge was a major factor in making our visit positive and memorable. This historic building has been immaculately maintained and furnished. Our room was spacious and comfortable, while its private balcony provided a perfect perch from which to take in the scenic surroundings. Members of the staff were friendly and helpful. The included breakfasts provided each day were delicious. We rate Bear Mountain Lodge among the top 10% of places we have stayed in more than a half century of travel.
