Marriott Hutchinson Island Resort & Beach Villas, Golf & Marina

As time goes on in the United States, I’m realizing that I can’t always trust the scores on Google or other platforms. Often, I’ve chosen hotels with high ratings, but after that became disappointed, and sometimes the opposite is true. For this hotel, I was unsure and hesitant to book because the score wasn’t that high. But in the end, I decided to go for it, and it was much better than I expected. The breakfast and dinner were very good quality and also very good taste; better than at many other hotels I’ve stayed at in different parts of the U.S. As a Titanium member who spends a lot of time in hotels, I really appreciated the variety. We had such a great experience at this resort. First checking in was extremely nice with Lisa. She explained all the resort had to offer and was so personable. We were upgraded to the oceanfront building with a lovely balcony with sea view. The room was c sparkling clean and spacious. We had lunch at the tiki bar poolside only a two minute walk from our room. Cheryl , the bartender was fantastic and so much fun to talk with. We had the fish dip, shrimp cocktail, soft shell crab sandwich and the lobster roll split between 3 of us. Everything was delicious. Then we hung out in the hot tub and listened to the waves! The beds are comfy. The breakfast omelette was really good. And check out was a breeze. We will definitely be back!’ We enjoyed it so much.

Marriott - stay at our Main Resort, located in the heart of it all. In the heart of what? Receptionist at check-in that did not seem interested and did not explain anything about the resort. A restaurant that does not stay open all day. Too many ‘rug rats’ around the pool with zero adult supervision! Multiple kids on rollerblades around the pool area - is that considered safe? Music bingo…. .Audience participation is the last thing anyone should have to endure on vacation. .And next to no participation! Very disappointed, bait and switch from what was advertised to what was presented. I was convinced I was in a room overlooking the beach, not a car park! This was our second stay at the Marriott at Jensen Beach in the Oceanfront building. The property is large and has many amenities such as pools with bars, walking paths, bikes, tennis courts, and golf. The location is perfect as it is to many great places to eat, activities, shopping and beaches. The breakfast is very good. Customer service is always good and prompt. I do think that oceanfront building is approaching the need for an update with carpeting, decor, etc. It was a comfortable and pleasant stay!

Positive: The pool area was inviting and although there were rooms surrounding it, didn?t seem like we were on display. The linens and the room smelled fresh and clean.The setup with the shelves/ bars for clothes/ towels and the detachable shower heads were A+ Negative: No microwave. The bathroom was pretty small with an older-school tub.
