Market Street Inn Bed & Breakfast

This was a great location and beautiful home. We went to a show at the Derby Dinner Playhouse (DDP) and stayed here for the night. It was only 1 mile away from the DDP and a super-easy drive. The next day was a flight out of the Louisville airport, which was only 20 minutes away. The house was beautiful and clean, with a wonderful historic charm. Safe parking is behind the house, which was convenient and nice. Carol and her husband were so kind and gracious with their conversation and tour; we enjoyed seeing the photo album of the president's visit years ago. And breakfast with Lisa was amazing; she was so kind and sweet and a great chef. This is walking distance from the river, pedestrian bridge and restaurant row. My family and I stayed at the Inn for about a week at the beginning of February for a family funeral. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the history of the home and talking with the owners. We felt very welcome and cared for. Lisa, one of the cooks & housekeepers, was especially warm and kind to my husband, me and our daughters. During a sad time, it was wonderful to be in a home-like setting as opposed to a corporate hotel. Despite the circumstances, we really enjoyed our stay and will return!

My husband and I are big b&b fans and this was an excellent one! Charming historic building and the perfect location for our trip to Louisville. The owners were lovely and Lisa was the best! She made us feel right at home and her breakfast was delicious and the perfect way to start each morning.

Carol and Steve are the best hosts and made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped into their charming B&B. Not only were they accommodating, but their staff was also friendly and gracious. Lisa was especially thoughtful, always with a sincere smile and a offering a kind word. I recommend this place for anyone wanting to visit Louisville and will definitely stay here the next time I'm in town!

I love this gem! Our suite was amazing. We paid for fireside dinner - we both were impressed by the delicious food. Very nice people around.
