Mark Twain Cave

We stayed here overnight in an RV with 2 toddlers. Tessa was wonderful and SO helpful with suggestions around town and things to do. Daniel did an amazing job with our tour and was super patient with our 2 year old that was just not having it. Lastly, Bobby... she was incredible. She gave such an awesome trolley tour and was also really patient with our kids. When we got back, she helped my daughter do the sluicing and pointed out the different stones. She is so knowledgeable, and she added so much value to our stop here in Hannibal. The campgrounds were beautiful, had laundry facilities, showers, clean bathrooms, and a few play areas for our kids. I wish we had time to do Cameron Cave, go down by the river, and the winery...but it only gives us a reason to come back. The only negative th

We had a very enjoyable stay. Check in was very easy. Our campsite was easy to find and get into. Campground was quiet and very clean. And so close to everything in town yet had a quiet country feel. So easy to get into the cave tours and the tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. We will definitely come back to this campground if we get back to Hannibal.

We did not stay at the hotel, but went on the cave tour and it was fabulous! Our exceptional tour guide, Peter, was a wealth of information and his witty comments and quips kept us amused. His voice was able to reach the hearing of all those in our tour, and he had all the facts we’d ever want to know or ask about. The cave itself exceeded our expectations by far, too. Highly recommend this cave tour and especially this tour guide, Peter Lebron.

We went the weekend before Halloween when all the festivities were going on and it was a blast! We stayed at the campground. It was clean and very well maintained. All the campers were very nice. The staff was amazing! There is plenty to do right there! We went to the winery and had some delicious wine. It was a very comfortable atmosphere. Jessica took very good care of us. We did the candlelight cave tour and Jessica and Ella were fabulous guides! Very fun and entertaining. Full of knowledge and history. They really know their stuff! This will be our new go-to for Halloween camping! Also, they did trick or treating at the campground for the kids staying there and the community. Seeing all those children having such fun does a heart good! Looking forward to our new tradition!

This 2-day trip was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted an RV site not far from St Louis with full hookups and something interesting to look at. We stayed in Site B-1 right up front. An easy pull-through site with full hookups. An easy walk to the gift shop that had very nice, clean bathrooms. I did both cave tours and LOVED them. Not strenuous at all. I learned a little bit about geology, literature (due to the Mark Twain connection), and local lore. Mark Twain cave is better for those afraid of the dark or more interested in the references from Tom Saywer. Cameron Cave was so cool because it has no lights except the flashlights you are given to take with you. We enjoyed some cider and beer sold at the winery. A quick drive into Hannibal helped with some forgotten dinner ingredien
