Happy Stay Inn

Not bad for the price. No bedbugs no roaches. Rooms are real big and come with king size bed. Microwave and refrigerator included. Parking for small trucks also. This is the hometown of Mark Twain..lol

I recently stayed here for the 4th of July holiday and while in the office the woman owner did the whole check out process, we paid the $70 as requested and we're about to head to our room when the male owner stops us at the door voids out the entire transaction and informs us it was now $80 for the stay. Yes with some frustration on the 2 different prices we put it aside and went on to our room. Upon entering the bathroom tub was filthy, the toilet looked as if no one had cleaned it for weeks, the bed spreads were stained with well actually I'm not sure I even want my mind to wonder what they could possibly be stained with, the window unit AC definitely didn't work well at all. States there's wifi online but there was no connection all night. This is by far the worst hotel experience I've

Easy on the wallet, pet friendly motel. The first room was a "No smoking" room; however, after taking a step inside, I felt I'll (I have allergies). I informed the staff & they gave me a different room. The room had a microwave & mini fridge, desk, side chair, king bed with 4 pillows, 2 night stands & window A/C which was nice & cold. The room was a few doors down from the roadway, main level, but was a very quiet room. The room was clean.

I am a frequent guest here, and when I heard the property was under new ownership and the name had changed, I looked forward to seeing other improvements as well. I was impressed with the customer service and energy being put into the property. Seems like the new owners are working on making this motel affordable and accommodating. Thank you Update: the new owners are remodeling the rooms one by one. I'm impressed.

Last minute place to crash for the night while on a road-trip. Staff was friendly and helpful. Close to downtown. Cheap. Not the cleanest place we’ve stayed in but for a place to sleep it was okay. The room had an odor but appeared to be clean enough. Someone was running a loud tool of some sort right outside our door after 10 pm. Some shady looking folks in the parking lot.
