We stayed here for a wedding in the area. Quiet, clean and comfortable.

The casino was full so I had a good idea to check for another hotel and Google showed me this one. So I called to get a room and was told to call another number when I called there was a room so she said she would meet me there to check in. It's a old place not worth the $150 but it worked. They used a strange lil credit card machine I think square. So I check out in the morning and we leave. Come to find out after the first transaction on the machine that paid for the room. they decided to charge my card without my permission or knowledge for deep cleaning of a ruined mattress and the carpet had to be cleaned cuz they say in this invoice that I smoked pot in the room and it states no smoking in rooms. Marjo Motel is everything we look for when traveling by motorcycle -- a friendly, comfortable spot in an interesting small town. The rooms are homey and appealingly decorated with lots of thoughtful details. The important stuff is just right: excellent beds and showers, good wifi, and a parking space at your door. A quick, pretty walk along the water brings you to several good places to eat and shop. We enjoyed talking with the owner, who gave us good advice and a thoughtful sense of the town. Just a great stay.

The owner and Sandy run a wonderful business. Sandy's heart is truly into this place and the happiness of their customers. Our room was perfect for us and our dog during our fishing trip to Lake Vermillion. There is a dock available if you wish to use it. You can charge your batteries from the dock as well. If you have an issue with your room, Sandy will take care of you. If you're not satisfied with your room, remember you booked at a Motel, not a Hotel. 100% satisfied with our stay. We will stay again if we make it to the area.

Spotlessly clean room with new carpet. Decor is still 60s motel paneling but the rooms are not run down. I was happy to see they had recycling bins in the room; not many places do that. Hard to beat for the price if you're just looking for a place to sleep for the night.
