Glenmore Resort

I leave this review at the risk of increasing my competition when I book my next trip here,.. This year (2024) was our 4th year at the Glenmore and I hope to go again this summer. I loYve this place! and how they run it! Having stayed at 2 other great area resorts before, the Glenmore stands out as the benchmark for excellence and accommodation for fishing or family trips. Great East side lake location on Pike Bay but more than that, the owner ,Paul and his Son, Zach (who is also a Pro Guide)could not be more accommodating, available, and attentive to any needs you might have. The cabins and boats we've rented have all exceeded our expectations.

I’d give this more stars if I could!!! Zach and Emily were fantastic, the lake is incredible, and the views from the cabins are amazing. We loved being on this bay, it feels quieter than most, and we can’t wait to come back!! Also, any drinking/shower water issue mentioned in another review has been totally fixed. Great filtration system.

Overall Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars Pros: Clean and comfortable cabins, beautiful location on the lake. Quiet spot with other amenities, including a small beach, boathouse, fish cleaning station, fire pit, and playground. Friendly and helpful staff. Family-friendly atmosphere. Cons: Cabins can be a bit small for larger groups. Some things are a bit dated, AC in only one cabin. Overall: I was really impressed with Glenmore Resort after our recent stay. We had stayed there a few years ago and it was not a great experience. Old ownership was terrible and rude. However, the new ownership has really turned things around and the resort is now a great place to stay. The cabins are clean and comfortable, and the location on the lake is awesome. I've read some reviews and based what I experienced looks like many things have changed. Our cottage was clean, well appointed, and comfy. The host was very helpful, and his son, told us some hot spots to hit for fishing. We enjoyed ourselves and already booked our stay for 2024.

7 of us stayed in Cabin 8 The Lake House and there was ample room, but only one bathroom. This cabin is very much a conventional house and not rustic, but we appreciated that. Airy, bright, plenty of outdoor space. We rented two 16.5' boats, Crestliner Fish Hawk with a 90hp and Lund with 60hp and they were great. Electronics, live wells...fine boats. Overall a nice resort, nice father and son, and price point is good. One negative, but not a deal breaker, the resort is as far south (Tower end) as you can get on Vermillion. Overall the amenities all checked out and we were pleased. Nick C.
