Forest Lane Resort

We've been coming here at least twice a year for the last several years. We just came back a few days ago. It's clean, comfortable and Curt and Kathy are great owners who care about their guests. It's a great place for fisherman. The lifts for your boat is a real nice amenity. It's location makes most areas of Lake Vermillion very accessible and the rates are very reasonable. We've already booked our next two trips.

Our stay in cabin 2 was excellent. We don't fish, but rented pontoon boat for a couple days and rode around the VERY large lake. Lots to see and explore. Nice, clean cabins and a very fair price. The owner Curt went out of his way to make sure we had all we needed. Was impressed with the little extras that were provided (including multiple night lights, DVD player, heaters and complete and new pans/dishes/etc). Will definitely be back again. Thanks Curt!

I snapped up this reservation last winter because I knew when the thought crossed my mind again in May there will be none available. I chose this week in May because it's after fishing opener and pre-mosquito. Almost canceled because of a death in the family but after 4 difficult days of decision-making and heavy sadness, I knew coming to Lake Vermillion would be a good change of scenery in a peaceful setting. I had not stayed in a place like this before and was a little nervous about it, but we had an easy time settling in. The cabin was so clean! The beds had sheets and are comfortable. I think bringing your own pillow and comforter are great because it adds to the home feel. My son mentioned the wifi was better here than at home. Love this place. I've been going there for several years now and will be going back in May and Sep/Oct. It's small resort and a bit rustic. But it's perfect for someone who wants to fish. like me. the cabins have everything we need and are comfortable. The boat lifts are a bonus. And the fishing is good. Especially in the spring and fall.

We had a great time at Forest Lane. It is a great small resort with wonderful hospitality. We enjoyed relaxing by the beach and taking the pontoon out one day. I would recommend water shoes for the beach as it is pretty rocky. The cabin was perfect and very clean. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking to slow down a bit and enjoy some quiet time.
