Marina Village Inn

*Bedside lamp didn’t work. I asked for a bulb and desk clerk frowned, shook his head and said no. |*TV remote did not work. Turned on the TV manually but could not adjust volume. I didn’t want to ask for help because the desk clerk looked angry when I asked for a light bulb. |*There was only one washcloth and it was stained with makeup. Made me wonder about the cleanliness of the other linens.|*Freezer frozen shut|*Safe didn’t work. |*Air unit is LOUD and made it hard to sleep. Marina Village Inn is a great place to stay. The Inn and rooms are clean and well maintained and being right on the bay provides a quiet environment and great views of the marina and the bay. The room rates are very reasonable, and you have convenient access to Oakland and San Francisco. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Vic made checking in and out smooth and easy and answered all of my questions about the area and things to do. A great Inn with a great team.

I recently stayed here for the first time and I enjoyed it. The check in process was smooth and simple. The man that helped me was very nice and accommodating. The room was very clean! Some of the rooms downstairs have like little porch areas for the back door of the room. It's a good location and easy to get to from the freeway or tunnel. Outside of the hotel is very quiet and doesn't have a lot of traffic. There is plenty of parking. The maids were very nice and didn't come banging on your door in the a.m. / at check out time or rush you at all ( which is hella cool, I hate when the maids do that at other hotels, it's super rude.) For the price of this hotel, the level of service was completely unacceptable. Basic requests—such as asking for water—were met with dismissive responses. We were told the only water available was what was already in the room and that we would need to leave the hotel to get more, despite there being no convenience store within walking distance. When housekeeping was brought up, staff attempted to deflect by stating that cleaning occurs every other day, even though we stayed from Saturday to Tuesday and did not receive housekeeping once. Requesting extra towels was met with hesitation and an overall lack of professionalism. We were assigned Room 201, where light leaks through the door seal and hallway noise is constant.
