Extended Stay America Suites- Oakland - Alameda Airport

I just want to start by saying that this is my first review I have ever written, but I think it is important that people hear about my experience. ||I have absolutely loved every moment of my time here. The hotel itself is located in a newly built, industrial area which makes the atmosphere very quite. I have had some rough experiences at hotels near the Oakland area, but while staying here I have not a single moment that I felt unsafe, or nervous. That's important for me as a female who is staying here alone ||The other reason I believe this place has been such a good experience for me is the staff. Particularly the day shift (I come in contact with them more often then the night shift.) Kamal and Lucy who work the front desk have gone above and beyond to help me feel comfortable, safe,

Positive: location Negative: Everything. The bed was not comfortable, they charged me a deposit after they said they wouldn't, the room looked run down, the toilet didn't flush all the way, the shower head was dripping and hardly any presser coming out of it.

This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had! We booked 2 rooms. For the first room, we booked a room for 4 adults and received confirmation that there were 2 beds. We checked in, and everything went downhill from there. The elevator made such loud noises that it sounded like it was about to fall to the ground. When the elevator doors opened, you were immediately overwhelmed by the smell of a combination of weed and urine. It was SO STRONG! We got to the room and there were not 2 beds. There was a regular bed and a small sofa. I went downstairs to talk to the front desk and ask for a room with 2 beds and was told there are NO ROOMS with 2 beds...all rooms had a bed and sofa. There weren't even any bedding or pillows in the room for the sofa bed, so I had to go back downstairs to get

Pretty good spot for the price. My real biggest complaint was the pull out mattress being hard as a rock and the free wifi being slow. Anyways other than that the place was clean, kitchenette had great essentials, building feels safe, main bed was comfortable, shower is spacious, TV has good channels, and the staff really try to make everything as easy on you as possible. Kossandra is really nice and very helpful along with her fellow associates. I do recommend this place mostly because of the service since they will make things right if you're dissatisfied or needing to know something. The location is isolated, but if you got a car then you can head into town pretty quickly, so if you like to feel separated from the busy side of Alemeda then this location is for you.

This place is very conveniently located to just about everything in the East Bay and the airport. Service is outstanding from the staff. Kossandra is a standout employee. She reminded me that my parking pass was about to expire and always greets everyone with a smile. Great place to stay, especially considering the price. The downsides are that this is located in the center of a business park, and there are not any eating options within reasonable walking distance. Also, the cheap price comes at the cost of nicer sofas and other amenities. But that comes down to getting what you pay for.
