Marginal Way House and Motel

A lovely experience. We were fortunate to have a waterfront room--the view from our balcony/deck was mesmerizing. Our room was quiet, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The Inn is just a short walk from restaurants and shopping--no need to drive anywhere! I'd definitely stay there again.

We had a great stay at the end of October! Room was a decent size, not big nor small. The floorboards are a little squeaky from the upstairs neighbors but to be expected with wood flooring. The check in process was easy and the man at the desk was very friendly!

This perfectly located, friendly and comfortable inn has been our “go to” in Ogunquit for almost 20 years. From the excellent front office staff to the very thorough housekeeping and maintenance folks, everyone at the Marginal Way House works hard to make sure your stay is terrific. It’s so nice to leave the hustle and bustle of Shore Rd and downtown OGT and come back to this peaceful little slice of paradise by the ocean. Is there better way to spend a summer evening than relaxing on the deck of Dockside and watching the tide coming in or going out? Or having your morning coffee on the porch of the Main House as you look out over the water? We’ve even sheltered under our covered patio in Wharf as a heavy rainstorm passed through-and still had a great time! Don’t expect a hotel with fancy

2nd year we have stayed on property and could not be more happy with our accommodations and the staff is lovely! We have stayed in OGT for the last 17 years and this is BY FAR THE BEST location and property. We have rented a home, apartment, stayed in a hotel just one street away and will always stay at the Marginal Way House over any other from now on! Thank you for making our OGT family trip wonderful again!

We are long time visitors to the Marginal Way House. We love it there and Laura the manager is key to making guests feel welcome and comfortable. She is the "soul'' of the place. Steve does a great job of keeping the lawn and gardens tended and blooming and Leona in the evenings is very pleasant to deal with.|My only complaint is the white lawn chairs which are very uncomfortable. New, comfy chairs are necessary or cushions and padding for the existing wooden ones. Also a few foot stools for the chairs on the porch would be great.
