Plenty of tent options and good places to hang hammocks. Easy access to water. The latrine can be tricky for a first timer to find. The only people that you'll see are the ones headed to sites 14-16. ***2025 Edit*** I wrote the review above based on my stay at the site in 10/2023. With the re-routing of the trail after the 2024 flooding, the entrance to site #13 is now much more set off & private. Also, the river conditions in 2023 made this site quite loud (Think visiting team on third down in a full stadium). This may change based on water conditions and your mileage may vary.
