Manistee River RV Resort & Marina

My brother and I stayed here for nine days for the fall salmon run. This place is great. I have been coming up here every fall for the past 20 years and since Jay zee bought the place it has improved greatly. The restrooms are always clean, and the showers are free now, and the water is always hot. They have a great selection of fishing tackle, an awesome fish cleaning station and Aiden is very knowledgeable about fishing techniques. John from The WI Fi guys was very helpful to us with getting our tv going which I know nothing about. I highly reccomend Manistee Rv resort weather you are on a fishing trip or just want to relax.

We did the four hour trip, it is incredibly beautiful. There is a fork in the river we weren’t warned about...hot tip, always stay to the right. We saw blue heron, bald eagles, hundreds of turtles. We did, however, get sent out on a very windy day that required some aggressive paddling (I’m an avid runner/gym athlete and he’s a former spartan and triathlete) just to not go backwards in the random little white cap areas due to wind. When we returned the lady mentioned she was surprised we were allowed to go under the conditions of the river.

Plenty of room for Fall camping, we got pick of dozens of nice sites. We appreciated the late check in flexibility, and opening the office early the next morning to take care of us, as were 1 of just a few campers in late October. Great location on River, 5 min from downtown, a few minutes from Casino. we'll be back

I was there late October so staffing was not what it would be during regular camping season. With that, my cabin was not clean or ready for us. They did put us in another cabin that was. The bathrooms were not cleaned the couple days we were there. Housekeeping was the only issue we had. Staff were very polite and courteous and took care of any issues we brought to them right away. Hopefully the housekeeping issue was due to out of season, but is addressed. I will give them another try as overall I was pleased with my stay.

Best camping experience this is our second year going very friendly staff the camp at night is very quiet. We rented a site for a tent directly on the river. You can watch the salmon jumping in the front of you. Very good spot for fishing kayaking boating you can name it. Best sites on the river site number 26,27 site 8,7,6,5 there is electric and puplic showers and restrooms
