Mallard Resort

I and some friends and relatives took a bus package out of Omaha. I had a hip replacement a month before. They had a fish fry with the fish our boats caught. We stood in line to eat. I told them about my hip And asked for another piece of fish and was told to shut up and sit down. Very embarrassing people asked me why I put up with that comment. Guides ate there fill and took the rest.

First time there as overnight campers and was pleasantly surprised (stayed 3 nights during the week). The grounds were beautiful grass and flowers are kept nicely. The campground manager, Jean, is the most helpful and busy lady ever! She not only answers the phone, takes reservations, keeps tabs on people, cleans the bathroom/showers but takes the time to go the extra mile - gave us a tablecloth as the picnic table hadn't been painted yet and let us know the ins and outs of the grounds and the history of the resort as well. There is also a bar/restaurant (has only pizzas but might I have missed something) that was closed Monday & Tuesday when were were there but come Wednesday when it opened, the boats were filling up the docks and seemed like a family reunion with all the folks that knew

Fun place to stop for drinks. I believe they only offer frozen pizzas. On the water, within a campground.

Nice little campground. A couple of non. Permanent sites which is really nice. Good location.

Right on the river easily accessible with the boat. Small menu but food was good.
