Main Street Inn

Beyond expectations. It is a former fraternity house with an easy walk to the USD Campus. Incredibly restored, classy & tasteful touches and the pics online are authentic to how in looks in real time. Comfort level is high with plenty of hot water for showers, rooms that feel like home, refreshment centers on each floor, and a solid breakfast. But, the friendly & kind host makes the experience truly shine. A relaxing atmosphere that had me wanting to stay longer (rare for me); I do plan to return to this unique & ideal place. Just a quick overnight stay with a late arrival but couldn't be made to feel more at home. Beautifully restored home with specious bedroom including large bathroom with walk in shower. Very clean and comfortable. I wanted to steal one of there pillows 😉 Will definitely try to come back for a longer stay. Highly recommend!

First impression was welcoming. Beautiful Amish made furniture throughout. It was formally a fraternity house. Carson, the Innkeeper, was very pleasant and accommodating. Our room, #201 had 2 queen beds and a beautiful large bathroom with a walk in showers. We stayed 2 nights. The breakfasts were delicious with eggs, waffles, stuffed french toast,meat, fruit, juice, coffee. It is in a quiet residential area, close to downtown where there are restaurants. We would highly recommend this B&B.|There are no rooms on the main floor, therefore you do have to walk up the steps. |Carson was good to carry our bags up for us.

Can’t say enough good things about the Main St Inn. The room was great and an excellent location close to downtown. The family that runs it are absolutely lovely people - extremely friendly and make you feel like family yourself. And don’t get me started on the breakfast. If they are making stuffed French toast, you’re in for a treat. The only complaint I have is that there’s not about a hundred more rooms because I won’t stay anywhere else in Vermillion going forward and I’m sure anyone else that’s stayed there feels the same way! Thank you again!

This was the second time I've stayed at the Main Street Inn--both times were excellent, prompting me to write this review. The rooms are really spacious and decorated with a cool, comfortable, craftsman style. The comfort stations (with drinks and snacks) were a really nice touch. The breakfasts were yummy. All public spaces were clean. And the location can't be beat (an easy walk to the downtown area where there's a sweet little theater, coffee shop, and fun places to eat). I will be staying at the Main Street Inn every time I visit Vermillion--nothing else in town compares.
