Magnuson Hotel Sand Springs-Tulsa West

I was impressed by the rooms, and the customer service. This place might be dated. But it is way better than most other hotels I have stayed at. You get a good value for the price you are paying for the room and deposit. I am sure when the K-mart was still open that made this place more desirable. I stayed at the Trade Winds last weekend. and I think Magnuson has the best value for the money and cleaner rooms. I will defently be back. I also Like that this is a canibus free hotel and that they make sure There is no smoking on property.

For the rate of the hotel room it was about what was expected for the most part. Definitely very dated, but the bathroom had an upgraded shower and granite counter tops with great water pressure! However, the shower head was so low that me (as an average height person) had to be on my knees or bend so far back so that my hair could get wet. The room was very clean and I did not notice any bugs. However, the room reeked of weed and old cigarettes as soon as you opened the door. I have since checked out of the room and my belongings and clothes still smell! Overall, I guess I got what I paid for but I would not stay here again simply because of the nauseating smell.

Me and my partner have been here more than a few times, everything has been great- No bugs, no mold, and clean sheets. You absolutely will smell pot traveling in Sand Springs (It's OK, it's unavoidable) but they're very good about making sure it doesn't happen on their lot. Most of the negative reviews (as far as I can tell) are from entitled folk who were told no for the first time in their life cause the hotel policies are extremely clear. They're honest people, just be decent.

Three seniors stayed 5 nights. The first night the adjoining room guests woke us up at 6 am with loud talking and arguing that continued until after 8 am. The phone in the room didn't work so I was unable to contact the front desk. I asked to be moved and was given a quiet room. The breakfast was minimal with few choices, and the coffee was terrible. We opted to eat out on 3 of the 5 days. The room was clean but in poor repair. Water faucets dripped or didn't work correctly. There were cracks in the sink and bathtub. It was a classic case of "you get what you pay for." We won't stay there again. The staff was friendly and helpful.
