Added some photos from early 70's when this was known as Rix Island. My father assisted the owner with transporting the Madonna statue to the island and setting it in place in the 1960's. Every summer vacation that we stayed there, my sisters would clean / scrape and paint the statue.
What a great place for serenity! The views from the island are spectacular! Thank you for sharing a little piece of your heaven!
