Lovill House Inn

I've stayed once in the house and once in the cabin. Different experience each time but both times the overall service, breakfasts (and the cookies!!) and general atmosphere (including the grounds) were exceptional. Alison does a great job managing this property. This last stay Caleb was outstanding in every way. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful, but short, stay at the Lovill House Inn (Boone NC). They are an award-winning, plastic-free, environmentally friendly travel choice using solar power (and auto charging stations). Everything about the Inn was great. The staff were all friendly, helpful and engaging. Upon our arrival, they explained about the House history and amenities. Each shared so personal stories with us and they were quite interested in each of us.||The locally-sourced, homemade food was delicious. We had homemade apple pancakes, thick bacon, and squash casserole the first morning; the second morning we were treated to eggs Florentine, blueberry and cream biscuits and potatoes. Absolutely wonderful experience at Lovill House! The breakfasts were phenomenal, the room was beautiful and cozy, we were able to walk to everything on King Street, and we were only a short drive to skiing and hiking. I loved the sustainable choices the hotel has made. The staff were so gracious and patient. We would love to come back!

My daughter and I had the most amazing time at Lovill. We were snowed in during a storm and stayed for 4 days - and could not have felt safer. The staff was on site the whole time, made sure we had everything we needed and worked hard to make sure everything was clear for us to leave when we needed to. The owners were so flexible with arrival/ departure considering the weather, the cabin was exactly where we wanted to be during the snow storm complete with hot chocolate and open fireplace- the property was perfect for sledding, the cabin was so well appointed - and we just loved that everything was solar powered and there was even an EV charger for the tesla! will definitely be back.

We had an absolutely wonderful one night stay at Lovill House Inn, staying in the Linville Suite. This was our first experience at a true bed and breakfast, and it could not have set a higher bar. From the very beginning, the hospitality was exceptional and genuinely heartfelt. Communication before arrival was proactive, warm, and incredibly accommodating. They reached out via text and email to ensure everything was perfectly arranged, especially since we were arriving late. The entry instructions were crystal clear and thoughtfully detailed, making late arrival completely stress free. Walking into the room, we were immediately touched by a handwritten card congratulating us on our 10 year anniversary. That level of personal care speaks volumes.
