Lost Mountain Campground

We had planned a nice family vacation here but I guess they are hurting for money because they wanted to charge us for an additional campsite for a utility trailer. When I questioned why the owner started screaming at us and woke our grand children in another camper. She is very rude person over the phone and face to face. We will never stay there again. There are a lot of other nicer campgrounds in the area. We were also not sure who was coming and in a phone conversation she demanded to know how many in each of our campers. I told her that we would settle it when we arrived at the site. She demanded numbers right then. I guess she wanted maximum number to collect as much money as they could. The place was empty, hardly any people camping but I guess I know why now.

Love it. Peaceful, well maintained. Question's resolved quickly. Transit last year. Percent site this year. Beautiful maintained pool. Of you want peace and quite, this is it!!

If i could give this place 0 stars I would. Its extremely overpriced for the type of campground it is. The owners hide behind their faith and use it as a justification to treat people rudely. From the first point of contact, the woman spoke to us rudely, talking over my husband, and even yelling. They have many strict rules (some of which are extreme, like paying extra if you have over 3 people but can have no more than 6 people). The owner charged us twice for the extra people, then argued that she didn't, until we told her we had bank statements to prove it. The site and roads are not paved, although they tell you they are. The deer pen is really said. The fence is falling down and in the pen, there are several falling down sheds, the pen itself is small. The pool is not heated (

We had a great time here. We were one of two primitive campers in the whole place. There were nice facilites (showers/toilets/pool/arcade) that were a short walk away and well appreciated after the long rain and hiking. Most of the people who were there are RV folks that don't move. They all seem to know each other and seemed a little suspicious of outsiders. Owner Lynn is super nice and was very helpful. She sold us wood that was reasonable, if not cheap. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes to camp with a safety net nearby. Our kids had a blast and ate more smores than their little tummies could take. We stayed here while visiting Falling Water and Laural Hill State Park.

The staff at Lost Mountain are very accommodating, friendly, and willing to go above an beyond to help. The sites are HUGE and provide for a better camping experience than most other places in the area. The facilities are well kept and clean. You get a pretty good amount of Firewood for what you pay for, unlike some other places. It is very quiet and peaceful, and people are respectful of the quiet time. Lots of trails nearby and just minutes to Seven Springs. I accidentally left without paying for the site and the owner/operator called me . She was very understanding and told me to send a check. I felt terrible about the mistake after having been treated so kindly for two weekends in a row at such great rates. We will definitely be going back here next year for an extended stay.
