Hickory Hollow Campground

I stopped at for an overnight tent camping with my dog while doing the GAP trail. Hickory Hollow is 5 miles off the trail, but well worth making the trip. The campground is gorgeous, well maintained, and quiet. Hot showers and a coin laundry mat were wonderful after days of biking. I was extremely impressed with how clean and well-maintained everything was. A big part of my positive experience came from C.D. who went out of his way to help make even my short overnight stay fantastic.

We stayed here overnight because of its proximity to the Flight 93 memorial, which we visited earlier that day. This campground was nice. The section we were in didn't have much shade, but there were a few large trees nearby. If you are in a larger motor home with a tow vehicle, this is a very rural area, with narrow winding roads, so be aware. Getting to and from the closest major highway took took a long time through narrow mountainous roads. It was not exactly convenient, but we appreciated having a peaceful place to stay after we visited the memorial.

Great campground, nice sites….we stayed in 104 and it was great!! Bathrooms are immaculate and the staff is super friendly! There isn’t much nearby, but that’s what we wanted!!! Did the covered bridges tour, visited Coke Run Falls and the Flight 93 Memorial. If you’re looking for a quiet, pretty, well maintained campground this is a great place!

We just returned home from a late season visit to Hickory Hollow Campground. What a beautiful well maintained park! Lovely scenery, spacious campsites, warm and friendly staff. If you’re visiting the Laurel Highlands, we highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful campground, a bit off the beaten path but we like that!! Nice gravel sights, full hookups, super clean boathouse, small pool and playground, nice picnic tables and concrete fire rings! Super friendly staff! Within 30-40 minutes of Flight 93 Memorial, many historic covered bridges and several more National Park sights and memorials!
