Lonestar Inn, El Campo Texas

I recently stayed at Lonestar Inn Motel and had a pleasant experience overall. The check-in process was quick and straightforward, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. My room was clean, comfortable, and had all the basic amenities I needed for a short stay. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the Wi-Fi connection was reliable. Parking was convenient and easily accessible right outside the room, which made unloading and loading simple. While the property isn’t luxury, it offers great value for the price. The décor is simple and a bit dated, but everything was well-maintained and functional. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking for an affordable, no-frills place to stay. I would definitely consider staying here again on future trips.

Horrible stay. 1st room a/c didn't work (finally moved me at midnight) 2nd room A/C would not turn off. Room wasn't cleaned, had to go to office to get clean towels and coffee. Key never worked - had to go to office every night. Office staff yelled at me when the TV would not work because I couldn't understand her (her baby was crying so it was very hard to hear her) Another person staying there fixed the TV for me. I will never stay here again. Was quoted a cheaper price over the phone, then charged a higher price upon arrival. Manager lied about price quote. I had stayed here several times before all good, but this time was terrible. One staff member was so rude and unhelpful. Door safety lock was broke

Hotel was nice, big and clean. A shelf in the fridge was broken so I called and reported it right away as the woman at the front desk said something that led me to believe they are sticklers on charging customers for damage and very particular. Some of the people hanging around there were a little sketchy including a guy pushing around a shopping cart acting like housekeeping, but when real housekeeping showed up, he disappeared. I let them know about the situation. Overall nice hotel for the price, but some goofy moments.

Would not suggest this place. Got a room yesterday afternoon and went to work through the night and when I came back to my room in the morning my key didn't work and when I went to the front desk she said they had already checked me out and cleaned my room... not to mention the girl at the front desk can't get ahold of anyone to figure out how to solve the problem. This place is a joke not only did they deny a refund but wouldn't even give me a late checkout after sitting here for an hour and when asked if they could come to personally speak with me they said no this place does not know how to do good business

Clean rooms, staff friendly, location 1 block off freeway. Nice breakfast. Felt comfortable being a solo traveler. Parking close to room.
