Days Inn by Wyndham El Campo TX

I booked the family a room here for a wedding. The ONLY good things about this place is they let us check in two hours early so we could unload the car before going to the wedding and the AC worked great. ||||The Bad: The grounds are very dirty and not clean. The carpet in out room was NASTY and the room smelled musty. There was no smoke alarm, it had been removed but the base was still there, which I'm reporting to the local Fire Marshal there. We killed several bugs and small spiders in the room. Sheets smelled clean but had stains on them my two pillows were literally the size of a very small travel or throw pillow. Went down for breakfast at 08:45 and the lady had already put everything up, my 7 year old was VERY disappointed, There was no coffee in the room with the small coffee pot e

We were traveling though and stopped by late night. Our check in was speedy and the rooms were great. It seems that new furniture has been placed in the rooms as the old furniture was still outside the rooms. They served a breakfast till 9am but we had came to the lobby at 9:30 and had missed it, however the lady at the front desk was kind enough to turn on the waffle machine for us and offered us the cereal and pastries.

Not the worst hotel I've been in but I will say that the owner is cheap. Don't expect to use your microwave, the inside of ours is falling apart. If you can avoid a shower I would suggest, mold around the edges of the tub. The rooms have an unrecognizable odor. Don't take it wrong I think the house keeping tries but you can only do so much with cheap owners.

We were traveling from Florida to South Padre Island Texas and after a hard days drive cam across El Campo TX and the Days Inn. It looked like a newer updated Days Inn but seemed like it was in a bit of transition. Older furniture was in the hallways but also bags of garbage and garbage bins were overflowing. The rooms were clean and sufficient but we had to ask the front desk for toilet paper and more towels. We were also unable to connect to the internet. The free breakfast was ok but again, the trash containers in the breakfast area were overflowing.|The front desk staff was courteous and helpful but it seemed like the whole place was behind the power curve.|The facilities were OK but didn't seem like it was being managed properly.

It was the worst hotel stay of my life. I had to change rooms twice. The bedding was torn, had blood stains. The furniture was stained. I had to put a towel over the couch to sit on it. The telephone didn't work. I highly do not reccomend. I couldn't understand why my car was the only car in the parking lot. The lady at the front desk was wonderful and took care of me each time I encountered a problem.
