Pretty sad to see them allowing commercial RV drag and drop companies take up camp spots. They were also running electrical cords across the road and sharing electrical boxes with non-electrical sites for their commercial use. I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t allow other campers to share electrical. I hope campgrounds across Montana stop this. It’s hard enough to get a camp spot nowadays.
Staying at this campsite was the best decision ever! It was incredibly spacious, right in front of a beautiful lake with stunning views, and we had the best camp host—Norm! He was by far the most welcoming and helpful person, and his recommendations were spot on. The campsite was very clean, and the drive there was easy and straightforward. Also, the host sells firewood at the campground , and the bathrooms were spotless—clean and not stinky at all! We hope Norm is there next time we visit!
This is a small, quiet, clean campground very close to West Yellowstone. During our trip we saw both tent campers (like us), as well as RVs. Dry camping. We had a waterfront site, which was gorgeous! We watched the sunrise over the lake every morning, and hung out on our private beach area every evening. Bear boxes are located at every site, which are super convenient in bear country! Each site also has a picnic table and a fire pit that has a grate you can swing over it to cook over the fire. Camp host was very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are clean, well maintained, and not a long trek from the campsites. It took us no more than 20 minutes to get into West Yellowstone to enter Yellowstone National Park or grab some supplies. I appreciate that our campsite was clean, raked, and ready u
Beautiful campground with regular visits by park Rangers and a full time camp host that monitors and cleans up several local campsites. 2 brick and mortar outhouse that usually smells good (for an outhouse), and plenty of space to beach your boat and tie it to a tree. There is a boat ramp and dock for launching and retrieving your water craft. Decent 4g signal, though I've started getting sporadic 5g here as well.
We recently stayed at Lonesomehurst Campground and had a wonderful experience. The site offers ample camp stand space, ensuring plenty of room for tents and RVs alike. The camp hosts were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The ablution facilities were impeccably clean, which is always a big plus. Nestled in a peaceful, tucked-away setting, the campground provides the perfect escape while still being just a stone's throw away from town amenities. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a serene yet convenient camping getaway!
