Lone Star Lodge & Marina

If you are coming to this location to put a boat in the water... you'll probable appreciate it. We were however just driving through and stopped for a night( we pre-booked online) The room was clean enough but it had no aesthetic charm. When I read "Lodge" on line, I thought " ah nice". Let me assure you this is primarily a great place to launch a boat. The " Lodge" is not a getaway destination, more like a budget hotel chain; think hotel 6. Charging more $$ than a typical full service hotel will charge, the "Lodge" offered nothing. We were on our own since the front desk closed @5. We had to drive out for both coffee and meals. Besides a lake to stare at, we found little if no pleasure with this location & the accommodations.

It is a great place to get away . Our room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful for great places to hike to see wildlife. We went into town got coffee at a cute coffee shop drank it on the patio , beautiful view of the lake . We will return .

Super cute place. Very quiet and relaxing. We were in town for a wedding. Wish we could have enjoyed the area more.

We've tent camped in the area. Thought we'd do something different. Rooms have what you need, soap, shampoo, coffee maker and a hair dryer. If you're 6'3, the shower will be a titch small. Ha! But you’re already used to that. The rooms are quiet. Can't hear the TV next door through the wall. We stayed in 111. The lights from the parking lot shine through the blinds. Not terrible, but it's brighter than home. The front desk staff was friendly and reccomended nice spots to eat. She also told us about the Bonnie and Clyde fest. Nice surprise. They had a wedding when we were there too. Heard that it was going smoothly. It looked pretty. Considering the amount of people... was quiet with that as well. They definitely wipe down, the room smelled strongly of cleaning solution. The sheets were...

Lone Star Lodge and Marina is gorgeous. It overlooks the lake and you could walk out on the boat dock to the marina and rent a pontoon or a jet ski if you want. There are wooded trails that you can walk on next to the lake. The rooms are very cute and are kept very clean. The lodge itself is so beautiful. It is the most gorgeous place to have a wedding or any other event. The price is so reasonable it’s almost unbelievable. Compared to the costs of small motel chains near Kansas City it is less expensive.
