Lone Star Inn Dickinson

This hotel engages in false advertising. They advertise free breakfast and cribs for children under 2, but upon arrival I was told they do not offer free breakfast and could not provide a crib for my baby. Offering a king-size bed instead is not an acceptable or safe replacement for an infant. The room was extremely dirty. The floors were filthy, the bed covers smelled dirty, and the entire room smelled strongly of cigarettes. The towels were visibly dirty, worn, and not white, which is completely unacceptable and unhygienic—especially when staying with babies. The staff was rude and unprofessional throughout my stay. Checkout time was 11:00 a.m., and I specifically requested an additional 30 minutes, which staff agreed to. Despite this, at exactly 11:00 a.m., staff began knocking aggres

Very nice, clean, and just relaxing would boom again

I was a single female traveling alone, unsure of my living situation. I had been turned away from one hotel because they wouldnt rent a room to people under 21. Dont know if that was common, and feared the worse; sleeping in my car. This motel did not find a problem with my age, but just asked kindly that I not make too much noise. When I got there, the area looked a little sketch and, of course, I was a bit terrified that this wasnt the safest place. It was a lot safer than expected. If you are a single female traveling in a safe area, still always be cautious of your surroundings, but I was able to stay 3 nights safe and sound.

I would have given this property a five star review but when we checked in to our room after our Family event for Fourth of July, there was no blanket. It was a silk cover that had a burn hole on it, and the Mattress pad had burn hole also. I always bring my own bedding, pet peeve of mine, & it’s a good thing that I did. Room was spotless, the mattress was comfortable, parking seemed secure, check in was pleasant. In a pinch this property works just fine, this blanket issue may have been an oversight with their cleaning service. Hopefully this is corrected as it was a nice little one night stay.

The location was perfect for our trip to Galveston and Lagoonfest. I was incredibly pleased with the cleanliness of the room, especially considering the price. The room was extremely quiet; I could not hear anything going on outside or the neighbors.
