Customer Reviews
From the moment we met the doorman at our arrival until he was wishing us well at our departure, the service provided by all the staff was fantastic. There is a clear culture of respecting the guest and making you feel like they all want you to be there. The rooms are well appointed. We had a canyon/waterfall view which was nice. |The grounds are stunning. The resort has been built into an intact desert rather than clearing a property and trying to manicure it back to something beautiful. The short nature trail walks around the resort are a pleasant thing to do on a daily basis. The Ventana Canyon trailhead is only five minutes away and provides a less-visited hiking venue with great birding/wildlife viewing as well. The resort provides a free shuttle to Sabino Canyon, which is a short dri
The best staff in the world. They make you feel like family and take time out of their day to answer any questions and give great advice for area things to do. The bathtubs are huge and nice to relax in after a long day. Very clean hotel. A relaxing atmosphere with some of the most amazing views.
Positive: Overall, the hotel was nice. Cool design. Great location. There was a faint smell of cigarette smoke in our room. We paid for a Mountain View, and got mostly pool and a little bit of a mountain view. I got charged $40, still don't know that is from. Negative: The staff seems checked out. The vibes are off.
Spacious room, resort has breathtaking views of the mountains. Bill’s Grill has excellent food. Where the resort lacks is hospitality. The room upon arrival was not properly cleaned. The mini fridge contained a foul odor of seafood from what I suspect was the previous party that stayed in the room. Room service had to properly clean the fridge after I made them aware. The phone when I called to make the front desk aware of the odor was caked with make up. During my stay in Tucson I purchased two bottles of liquor as gifts and asked if they could be shipped to my residence. After being told I could have the items shipped, when I went to the front desk to arrange my shipping I was told they would not ship. If you’re looking for 3 star experience and beautiful views this is a wonderful r
This is a resort from 1982 that brings to mind the phrase "aging gracefully." The rooms are large, and pleasantly decorated. The suites were poorly done though. Some of them were clearly tucked into odd spaces where the architect had some extra space, rather than deliberately placed. Our first room was a suite that I can only describe as being in the armpit of the building, where two wings intersected. We moved to a regular room, and that was great. The age shoes in things like patches in the stonework or worn bathroom tiles. Prices were reasonable. I thought the restaurant was pretty good. A good place for a nice family vacation.
