We loved this stay!!! Lodge on the Desert in Tucson is one of those stays that instantly immerses you in a true Southwestern sense of place - the vibrant, colorful decor throughout the property to the unmistakable desert air that makes stepping onto the grounds in the morning feel like a reset. The design leans fully into warm tones, local textures, and classic regional details that give the entire experience an authentic, relaxed Arizona vibe without sacrificing comfort. After a day of exploring, the heated pool and hot tub were exactly what we needed to unwind, and having an excellent on property restaurant made evenings effortless. Oh and let’s not forget the in room fireplace for those chilly desert nights! The breakfast buffet in particular was really, really delicious with plenty
This is one of my favorite hotels to stay at, it’s more of an experience than just a hotel. Both the rooms and the property are so gorgeous and the desert magic ✨ is plentiful. I always feel so amazing here. It’s very whimsy and the rooms are full of super cute touches. I always stay at the room with the big jet tub, highly recommend. Also their restaurant is very very good, loved everything here. They also offer (haven’t been here since like 2021 so not sure if they still offer this) a complimentary breakfast, which is very good. Can’t wait to go back again.
A really cosy stay at the LOTD - our first but it won't be our last. The room was larger than expected, the fireplace was a great touch, beds were comfortable and the bathroom spacious. Dinner at Cielo's was delicious and the grounds are very pretty. The public areas are well designed with some excellent paintings by Ed Mell. Staff were universally friendly and helpful. Our Sedona-based cousins loved it too and will no doubt be returning even sooner than us.
Positive: Spacious room, clean bathroom, fridge, electric kettle. Beautiful gardens. Negative: The A/C unit in 135 should be replaced. I couldn't leave it on at night because it was so loud, and the room became hot. The property is showing a lack of investment in upkeep. Exterior paint is peeling in places and my room needs repainting.
We booked this stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary and paid for both early check-in so we could prepare for an evening out, as well as late checkout. Customer service upon arrival was poor. At check-in, the desk clerk made a comment about delaying the late checkout charge in case we woke up and "just want out of this place.” I found the comment odd and negative, but it proved prophetic! Unfortunately, we weren't in the room long enough right after checkout to notice really pay attention to the issues. Once back in the room later that evening, it was late enough that we didn't want to deal with moving rooms or finding a new hotel. The room itself was not clean—the carpets were very dirty and left our feet black after walking on them. The refrigerator was unplugged and had a strong,
