Loafer Creek Recreation Area

Prefishing for my upcoming tournament on the 24th. This was my first time launching at loafer creek recreation boat ramp. Loafers creek opens at 5:30 am which allows us to blast off at safe light. the spillway and bidwell launch ramp do not open until 7:30 am. The second ramp is the one that opens at 5:30 am . The loafer creek launch is well designed for easy launching. The hike back up the ramp is steep at this time but not doable. I don't have much more to ad except that there are clean restroom at the ramp site.

Beautiful place water is amazing bathrooms, plenty bbq grills small and large picnic tables but cost 8$ to get in plenty parking

Lots of picnic tables and barbeques in the day area. Bathrooms were open and clean. A lot of trees for shade. $8 park fee if you don't have a pass. It's the end of April and the lake is almost full. And the shoreline is way up! Snowed in February of 2026!

Campgrounds are clean and well spread out, with plenty of bathrooms. Lake was only accessible by boat ramp (no beaches and steep decline to water all the way around due to water level.) Park staff is friendly and Rangers do plenty of rounds but other sites partied loud nearby til midnight both nights and weren't shut down.

This campground is well maintained. Bathrooms are clean and campsites are well maintained. It was beautiful and peaceful. We loved watching the squirrels play. There was a very friendly cat near site # 57. All he wants is attention. He's very lonely. He's fixed. I would have adopted him if it were possible. A very sweet cat. He's not ferrel. Someone must have left him or he's lost. Look for him ... he needs love. (He likes small dog food)
