Le Voyageur motel

As mush as I would love to keep this place a secret, it truly deserves a 5 star review. This is our second year staying here and we will return! Management and staff are fast, efficient, and very accommodating. The rooms are very clean and exactly as represented. The pool is great for all ages (our youngest is 14) and we always have a great time playing pool volley ball & meeting the other guests and lounging under the palm trees (one or two more trees would be perfect)! The street is quiet and a very short walk to the beach and boardwalk.

This place is very clean, and the manager Rose is extremely helpful! Housekeeping does a great job, the pool is clean (but unfortunately we didn't get to use it - when we had time to do so it was getting vacuumed). The downside is that if you get a 2 room suite they are all on the 3rd floor and you have to drag your luggage up the stairs. I don't recall seeing that anywhere when I booked. Unfortunately, we were traveling with someone who uses a cane and has trouble with walking long distances and doing stairs. This made it difficult for us. Rose was nice enough to get us a key to use the elevator in the new part of the hotel, but that means it's a much longer walk and that you still have to climb the stairs from the 2nd floor to the 3rd. My family just stayed for the weekend while attending the soccer beach blast tournament. Front desk person was in and out of the office so couldn’t be found when we needed assistance and the office was locked most of the time. There was also a sign on the wall that said that if you denied access to the housekeeper when they came around then you would not get services at all until the next day. We booked a “suite” with a kitchenette for $818 for two nights. This got us one bedroom with a full size bed and one twin bed, and a pull out full sofa bed in the living area. There was no door on the bedroom with the full and twin so when someone needed to change they had to do it in the tiny bathroom. My stay here was okay—nothing special. I had a two-bedroom room, which was decent but on the smaller side (not Marriott-level space). I stayed on the third floor and there’s no elevator, so carrying bags upstairs was a hassle. The pool was advertised as being heated to 84, but it didn’t quite feel that warm. Bathrooms were clean, though very small. The biggest downside was the WiFi—it was terrible. I had to rely on my phone’s hotspot most of the time just to stay connected. Overall, it’s exactly what you’d expect from a basic motel. Not terrible, not great—just average.

I’ve been coming here with my family for the last 5 years. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the boardwalk. The rooms and pool are great, my kids love it! The staff are always professional and cordial, especially Rose, who is always willing to have a nice chat with the guests. I definitely recommend Le Voyageur to anyone who visits Wildwood!
