If you love amazing views and beautiful foliage, this is the place for you! I went recently for a trip to visit my boyfriend’s family and it easily is a great destination for big group gatherings and family reunions! We stayed in the main cabin and it was perfect. There is a huge table in the main cabin to have family meals and chairs on the porch to watch the sunrise and sunset (which are beautiful.) There is so much to do: bags, sitting by the fire pit, kayaks, and a super fun game room! Chris and Heather were amazing and accommodating hosts and I can’t say enough great things about this place! Great for boating and also did a hike at the amazing Mt. Kineo! The cabins are also very cute and the attention to detail in the decor is immaculate. The vibe of this place is great and will defin
They advertise that the 90 ft. dock is open to tie your boat up until Columbus Day|(usually October 13 or so). I stayed there October 6 to October 9. The dock had already been pulled in for the season. No explanation provided for this oversight.||Parking with a boat trailer is a nightmare. While there is plenty of room next to your|cabin for your car and boat trailer you are not allowed to park there. There are no signs to indicate this fact. My experience was that after arriving there on Oct. 6 at 8 PM there is virtually no lighting as you go up the extremely steep driveway to your cabin. Once you locate your cabin the only lighting around the cabin is your car headlights. Once you turn off your headlights you need to "feel your way" to the cabin door. Upon arriving at the cabin wi
Somehow, as a life-long Mainer, I had never been to Moosehead Lake. The Lawrence Lakeside Cabins were the perfect first experience and I can't imagine a better option in the region. Even the pre-trip process was much smoother than any other rental I've booked. There's an online guide that explains everything possible about the cabins. If you still have questions, Trina is extremely responsive. The newly renovated cabins, and the property itself, are perfect for a couple with a dog. We stayed at Cabin 2 (Ioneta). This cabin has a brand new infrared sauna upstairs, which my wife was obsessed with, and used four times over a weekend. All of the cabins have a full kitchen and a Weber grill hardwired to the propane, which makes them work flawlessly. Most of the cabins have a private wood fire
I recently went back for the second time to Lawrence's Lakeside and it was terrific (again). My boyfriend and I stayed in the Ripple cabin. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed and beautifully renovated. The bed was especially comfortable. It's clear that a lot of effort went into renovating the place. There is great attention to detail. The area is lovely. Although I did not go for a swim in the lake, I enjoyed a canoe ride and took advantage of hiking nearby Mt. Kineo. I had a blast in Lawrence's gameroom even though I am over 50! There is no shortage of fun things to do: relax and enjoy the gorgeous scenery, play cornhole, go for a canoe or kayak ride. Lawrence's has a wonderful vibe. Go with your family or with friends and enjoy all the cabins and the area have to offer. Wil
Great remote location! Nothing fancy but very relaxing! The cabins are recently renovated. There is a boat rental place right next door which we took advantage of and we had an amazing day on Moosehead Lake. Of note there is no A/C. I think for most days this is fine! We had one night of heat and they provided us with 2 fans and it was comfortable. We are definitely coming back! Very peaceful!
