Landmark Inn

Positive: Clean room several restaurants within a mile close to safeway.less then 15 minutes from ocean and beautiful drive. Negative: Stairs to room walls are paper thin hot tub in room noisy when someone uses it next door to you. Moved to another room without hot tub much better.

Honestly, this was the worst hotel experience of my life. I booked it only because of the great reviews on Booking and Google Maps, but now I truly don’t understand why people rate it so highly. The rooms aren’t “vintage” — they’re just old, dark, and have a very musty smell. Check-in was extremely slow, and when we finally opened our room, we found bugs literally on the wall and spider webs everywhere. We had to check out immediately in the middle of the night and look for another hotel. We ended up booking a great hotel for almost the same price. The front desk staff was very unfriendly and kept pretending not to understand our accent. When we showed him the photos from the room, he simply asked, “There’s only one bug, and that’s it?”

My wife and I had a great two-night stay at the Landmark Inn. We were in room 10, which is a mini-suite with separate bedroom, bathroom, sitting area, and kitchenette. it was perfect for our stay, providing comfort and spaciousness. The view from the bay window is lovely, too! The furniture and decor are attractive, and the entire suite was very clean. I'm honestly surprised that this small inn only ranks as a two-star property. It was as nice, or nicer, than most of the three-star accommodations we usually seek out. ||The location is convenient to the Old Bay Street area; it's about a five-minute walk or a very quick drive. Extremely clean! Rooms are spacious with many windows. Cute small complex. I would stay here again in a heart beat. (Only 1 parking spot per room, there is a lot down below (hotel is up a very steep driveway)).

We only stayed one night on our way up to Oregon but it was exactly what we needed. The inn sits in a very nice and secluded spot on the top of a small hill, surrounded by trees. The exterior is charming and it's quiet. There is one parking spot per room, which worked very well for us. The harbour and downtown is a only short walk away, but for some the hill might be a steep climb, especially in the winter. The check-in was easy enough, a bit old school maybe, but no problems on our end. Our room was #6 and it was fine. A tad worn and nothing special, but most importantly clean. It had everything we needed except a coffee maker but we got some from the lobby, so no worries there on our end. All in all it was just what we needed.
