Land Yacht

The home we rented (Land Yacht) through Collins Vacation Rental on St. George's was in poor repair and poorly managed. Broken ice makers, microwave, fireplace, bathtub, elevator, garbage cans...the pool was not clean. The home was also not clean when we arrived (e.g. spilled coke on the dining room table). Trash in the yard. After mentioning some of these items to Collins twice, they went unaddressed and Collins never called us back. We submitted this review directly to Collins prior to posting it here and, again, received no replies from the Company, mgmt, etc.

Warning to prospective renters of Land Yacht: Your paid reservation could be arbitrarily yanked out from under you, regardless of having made it over a year in advance. In 2020, for our 50th wedding anniversary, our daughter booked Land Yacht for July 3-10, 2021. The entire family was to meet and have a week of joyous fun together. All other summer plans for us and our kids’ families were scheduled around this trip and flight reservations were made. Less than four months before we were due to arrive, we were notified by the agent, Resort Vacation Properties, that the Land Yacht owner decided to do some remodeling and our reservation was being cancelled.
