Lakewood Shores Resort

We just had a 3 day 4 round tournament with 34 guys from Michigan, Indiana, Florida and Colorado. The Lakewood Shores accommodated our large group just fine. I was reading reviews on the way up and was concerned but in the end we all had a great time and played some unique golf courses. Yes, the clubhouse and restaurant burned down in May. It was wiped out, I’m a business owner myself and cannot imagine the financial devastation it must have caused the resort. I’m guessing this could contribute to some of the conditions on the course. The Blackshire course was a secluded, natural layout. Some of the greens did have some issues but with the location of this course it could have been many reasons. We saw a lot of wild life that could be feasting on the green. The tee boxes were a little beat

First timer. The gailes is an incredible course and is in very good shape. What a pleasure to play. The seradella is also a good course. Can't wait to go back next year. Very budget friendly weekend , with great challenging courses to play

Our group has been playing and staying for the past 25 years plus. The challenging tracks are very appealing to us. The greatest strength is the way the staff from Craig on down treat us. This year the kitchen was scheduled to be closed, the staff knowing we were still out stayed and served us a great meal and drinks well beyond the normal time. Little (or big) things like this always make us pick Lakewood Shores! A great value and great courses.

We played The Gailes and Serradella while staying here. Fun and challenging courses in good condition in October. We'll be back! One note for the resort. Internet for the rooms would be a great addition!

The rooms aren't bad, just outdated. The staff that take care of the rooms are great, and the location is amazing. Set right behind a practice phase par 3 course, along with 36 holes of 2 completely different courses less that 2 minutes away.
