Lakeside Inn

If I could rate this hotel any lower, I would. My friend and I were not expecting a 5 star hotel given the nightly price; but this place was a complete disaster! It smelled of mold, and must. As soon as we got to our room, the floor is flooded with water. All the lady said was, “oh yeah the sink leaks a little.” Which it also didn’t drain. The door would barely open when you go to unlock it. And the very worst part is that both beds and the carpet were completely ate up with bed bugs! And roaches were absolutely everywhere. I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone. In fact, it needs to be shut down for violating every health and safety code in the state! The owners really didn’t seem to care at all. And wouldn’t even give me a full refund.

So I’m sitting outside the hotel office 9:56 pm and the parking lot is almost empty, my husband called and the guy said that there were no vacancies the whole hotel was taken up, one can clearly see that there are several rooms without Occupants, that was a lie and then I call four times I’m sent to voicemail I text 2 timesall the awhile the lights are on in the office and I’m being ignored. This is a really crappy place and it doesn’t even deserve one star. What’s the options for negative stars

For them to charge as much as a nicer place, they need to be a nicer place. $10 extra a night for a cat that just lays around? Not that my cat would but if he clawed up the carpets, it would only be an improvement. She said it's like an extra person. Really?? My cat doesn't take showers or use electricity. Mold under bathroom sink, no working smoke detector and fire extinguisher outside the room is empty.

I read all the reviews before staying. I will agree that the place is outdated and could use an upgrade however those things cost and if it were updated then the cost would go way up. It was clean I saw no bugs. It did have a slight smell of cigarette smoke but the beds were very comfortable and the place was very quiet. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. We would stay again.

I knew from the low rate and the older exterior of this building that it would be a simple accommodation, and it is. The room is a good size. The beds were comfortable but awkwardly and cheaply put on wooden frames. I arrived to dirty, soiled sheets on one of the beds, so went to the office where the owner gave me a new set with no apologies offered. The towels are thin as tissue. There was only one little trash can in the room. It helps to have one in the room and one in the bathroom. The clincher was the first night my family and I returned from going out in Blairsville to a raucously, loud, redneck party in several of the rooms. One included a drunken couple yelling at each other. There is no management on sight after 10PM, so no recourse to take other than calling the police.
