Lakeside Hotel Casino

Was invited to VIP dinner party, great food great service, drinks and dessert.employees were very friendly and helpful! Rooms are comfortable but outdated, But did there job well enough! The casino was very good to us on this trip, we really enjoyed ourselves this trip. I do recommend this venue. Thank you for the hospitality that we received.

The hotel room was spacious, and clean. Check in was fast and friendly. All the staff at the hotel and casino was very nice. We had a nice little walk out patio with chairs and a nice view of the lake. The casino was small, crowded and smoky. |I have been to quite a few Iowa casinos, and this was one of the smallest,so I probably won't come back if I am planning on gambling. However, for a nice hotel to stay at, with the cool lake view, the hotel is very nice, and I would recommend it.

Positive: Staff was great!! We have stayed a few times at this hotel recently. It is a new goto for us! Very convenient! Negative: The toilet paper! One ply just doesn't work or else it requires multiple passes! Lol

They have a truckstop up the road but also a gravel lot at entrance of casino. They have a shuttle that can pick you up and drop you off. Thank you for that. I did order a couple of gin tonics, the first was filled with the specific brand I asked for but the next bartender, I order the same specific and she proceeded to give me well gin from their tap and tell me that's the brand I asked for it's in their tap. It was not as the taste was very off... Games on main level were limited but I didn't venture to the lower level but I was a nice night out.

I wish they had hot breakfast available during the week. They do have coffee shop that opens at 8am in casino portion for muffin and sandwiches. Wish they would of at least looked in room. I was there Tues night to Fri morning and trash was not taken out and no towels replaced.
