Lakeside Getaway

Went for a weekend getaway with my wife. We had a great relaxing time, caught a lot of fish, enjoyed the view and peacefulness. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

Our men’s group from church has been coming here for 20 plus years. David and Ronnie are always gracious and so kind. The grounds are well maintained and the rooms are spotless. We’ll be back.

Lakeside Getaway is located near Dogwood City on Lake Palestine. This getaway is great for reunions or just getting away to be alone. There is a boat ramp, shaded fishing piers, beach area, a huge porch with cushioned seats for relaxing, a playscape, birds, a sweet rat terrier that rides a golf cart and a lovable, curious cat that enjoys cuddles. The rooms are simple. If you’re an outdoor lover/camper or someone that doesn’t need fancy, then this place is a delight. The rooms have a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, bathrooms, and basic beds (springy, firm). There are grills and shaded group seating throughout the park. There’s a toaster oven on the porch. Came for a family reunion will return for Cuckoo the cat. David and Ron were excellent hosts and run a lovely business. I’m happy I got to spend my weekend here.

These people are so nice . They make you feel at home . My family stayed for a few day's and we all loved it . Don't tell anyone but the fishing was GREAT TOO.
