Customer Reviews
The East campground is well kept and features excellent maintenance. It's extremely interesting since it's BELOW the dam, giving you a whole different perspective. Once side of the of the campground is bordered by the lake, while on the other side their is a very large (privately owned) cow pasture. The place itself is very flat and has a nice bike/walking trail that leads away from the campground
We’ve stayed here twice and loved each visit. Check in is a little tricky. Actual check in is at the visitor’s center which is somewhere else, and they are only open until 4pm at the time of this review. We’ve always just gone to our campsite because we arrive late and pay the day use fee at the drop box at the camp entrance. Super easy to do. Important to note there is an east and west campground. This review is for the east one. There is electric at the site and the “plus” is because there’s a water spigot somewhere nearby. The campground is always so peaceful and quiet and well kept. A great place to stop!
Love this campground! It is my favorite by far. Amenities are good. Clean restrooms. Coin operated showers. Plenty of mature trees and shade. Pretty much every site has some shade. Campground is quiet. Usually families and older adults. No noise ever! Camp hosts are always great and very helpful. Good fishing too!
Great facility Bathroom s and shower facility extremely clean. Even Thier portapotty is clean and well kept. Great fishing and very roomy campsites. Love it here. Very pet friendly
What you don’t know before you get there: 1) if you drive to the campground to check in, you’ll discover check-in is at the visitor center in a totally different location 2) if you read the site description which shows “Water hookup: Yes”, you’ll discover there is no hookup at your site and you’ll have to fill your storage tank at a spigot by the bathroom 3) if you assume the campground has a dump station as 99% of all campgrounds do, you’ll be wrong. You have to go to a totally different campground to dump your tanks 4) if you thought you got a pretty good deal on your campsite, think again. If you’re from out of state, expect to pay an extra $14 PER DAY for the State Park entrance fee 5) if you thought you could enjoy your view of the water outside or relax on their sandy beach, you’ll
