Lake Marion Resort and Marina

Do not! Do not! Do not! Live , camp, roast marshmallows here or whatever. My husband and I loved the location it the campground because it was less than a mile away from family. HOWEVER!!!! , My husband & I contacted for application and lot space 5/6 months prior and they always said, "Nah, we're too full" [Even though were they had 25 lots open]. The best part - right on Lake Marion with gorgeous views from almost all of the windows.||We were worried that this place might be too rustic, but we were pleased after seeing it. The cabin had everything we needed - wifi, tvs, and dishwasher. It was clean.||We had 2 beds, 2 baths, living room, dining table, a kitchen and a large screened porch.

This is a relaxing place to unwind. It’s also right on a great fishing lake if thats your thing. Pick up local information at a nearby info center. We used a publication called Treasure Guide to find all the thrift stores in the area. It was fun for us sisters to visit some small towns like Elloree, and Santee. Santee has a lovely place called Clark’Inn that has a lovely gift store and we got beautiful manicures in Elloree.

The staff was all about customer service at this resort. Very helpful and friendly. Loved sitting on the porch overlooking the lake which you would swear was an ocean!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone that likes to fish or boat would truly enjoy staying here.

The place is a "little" outdated to say the least. Smaller than expected and tired in appearance. A little updating would make the stay more enjoyable. I am surprised a facility as "rustic" does not allow dogs, even small. I would pass at coming again.
