I stayed here for one night as a shakedown trip with my new Jayco 197MB. I had planned on staying for 2 nights but a forecasted rainstorm and the fact that I was only 20 miles from home sent me home after one night. First the pro's - It's a small campground and the staff were extremely friendly and personable. There are approximately 140 sites and probably 95% had campers on them (a con), but there were only a handful of them occupied. I was able to get a riverside site. I was there on a weekday in September so there were no activities going on but I could tell there was plenty to do "in season". The con's - The sites are small and very tightly packed. Luckily most sites were unoccupied, except for one of my neighbors. The riverside sites are all back in, and you back in perpendicular to t
This is our second time here this season. 2025 |In August it was great. Site was nice campground quiet. October it was terrible. Campsite was small not level dead trees. At night the campers (seasonal) blasted music (I’m all for playing music and having a good time) but this was so loud you couldn’t site at your fire pit (4 or 5 sites away) and hold a conversation. This went on for hours 10:30 pm and the music still blasting.
This was our second visit this season. Our first trip in August was great, which is why we chose to go back again. This time Oct not so much. Site was small and not level. Lots of dead branches hanging off trees. But worst of all, there was an RV that blasted music (DJ setup) for hours both Friday and Saturday night. I’m all for having a great time with friends, having some drinks listening to music, but blasting music so loud until 11:00 pm is very inconsiderate. I texted about this and never got any answers. Not a happy camper this time around.
We are seasonal. We brought a group of 6 families. Very displeased with the entire season. We came last year and it was a total pleasure. This year has been terrible. No management available, store never open, pool and arcade unavailable for the 1st 6 weeks and many times besides. No functions or entertainment, park not maintained, bathrooms unclean, no communication of the food trucks or the one man bands arrival until they arrive. No or low water pressure, etc we have been lied to and misled in many of the text messages that have been sent to us. Pump outs have been all over the place, never knowing when they will be there. It has been a nightmare and absolutely NOT worth the money we are being charged. We feel that in order to return next year we should be give. A significant reducti
I truly enjoyed this campground. The river was low enough while we were there to do some rockhounding. The water was crystal clear. The seasonal campers were very kind and welcoming to us as transients. Our site had plenty of room. Laundry room was clean and so was pool. Very close to all the local attractions. Bolton's Landing has lots of entertainment options. The park itself was laid out nicely with a real campground feel. I look forward to returning.
