Lago Mar Beach Resort & Club

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. While the room décor is a bit dated, everything is kept in excellent condition. The rooms are spacious, and the sea view is absolutely to die for. The beautiful tile work on the reception floor really stood out as well. Joan was lovely and took great care of us during breakfast at the Avquario Restaurant. Nanjulie, Fran, and everyone else we met at the Soda Shop were incredible—especially with our daily half-and-half coffees. We also enjoyed the jumbo shrimp at the bar, and the gift shop was so lovely I couldn’t resist doing a bit of shopping. Fritz was also super helpful, and so many other staff members were wonderful, even though I didn’t catch all of their names. I would definitely recommend this place. I stayed here with my two teen sons for one day before our cruise. It is a decent place to stay and the grounds are very pretty. It was not crowded so it was so relaxing. My son played volleyball with some little kids for 2 hours. Very family friendly and felt safe. The outstanding part was the staff though. EVERYONE was so friendly, the coffee shop lady, the Ocean Grill girls and the front desk girls (and we checked in very early, our room wasn't ready but the found a better room and got me settled right away). I feel like no one in hospitality is friendly anymore and this was so nice and made me happy- what vacation is all about. Thank you!

The people that work there are the kindest and most helpful that you could ever meet. The view from the rooms is spectacular!!! Modoline and Ramon and the breakfast people at the buffet make you feel like family!!! The views from the rooms are spectacular!! One of my favorite things to do are the hammocks. To be on a hammock on the beach is an incredible feeling.😃
