La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Trinidad

We had a wonderful overnight stay at La Quinta in Trinidad, CO. From the moment we checked in, the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Every employee we encountered from the front desk to the breakfast area had a smile and made us feel comfortable and invited. Our room was very clean and well maintained, which made it easy to relax after a long day of traveling. Breakfast the next morning was also a great experience. There was a nice variety of options available. Unlike the typical hotel breakfast where food is just set out for guests to grab, they had an employee preparing plates for guests, which was a really nice touch. Lovely stay. Hotel has thoughtful decor, room was comfortable and all areas were super clean. Breakfast staff were very cheerful and all staff were friendly and helpful. Beautiful view of the mountains from the patio. Nice display of local antiques and local historic memorabilia in the common areas. Gym was adequate for a workout and pool looked inviting. We also enjoyed seeing the collection of vintage autos in the front area.

Positive: Staff was very friendly. Negative: Room cleanliness was a slight issue. Beds and bathroom were very clean. There was a small amount of trash between the bed and nightstand (fortune cookie still in wrapper and crumpled paper).

This La Quinta was amazing! (And I have stayed in a few) above and beyond their presentation inside and out. . It had a showcase of old vehicles in the front, so nostalgic . In the lobby area was decorated so beautiful and elegant for the holidays. A historical piano on display with invitation for those that know how to play. Lots of history captured here with short vignettes of people and items of the past displayed in a fancy way in the lobby. It was fun to read and learn about it on a long road trip. The rooms were welcoming and clean. Front desk clerk at check in at 11 PM was friendly, as well as check out in the morning. I am here for one more week and will have stayed an entire month for work!! Kindest and most attentive staff I’ve ever met! Being here for a month you get to see their daily operations a bit closely, and they do a great job! Everyone I’ve interacted with has been awesome, very friendly and helpful! Incredibly pet friendly as well and accommodating ~ I have my dog with me!! It’s right off the highway which makes access to everything easy! Would definitely stay here again if needed!!!
