La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Orlando Universal area

We stayed at this hotel after our flight from France to Orlando (MCO). The check-in process was a breeze, and the friendly and welcoming staff made us feel at home. The room was clean, spacious, and had excellent sound isolation. However, breakfast was a bit of a letdown. It was crowded, and the seating was limited. The menu options were also limited, and the waffle makers weren’t adjusted correctly, resulting in undercooked waffles. Despite these minor inconveniences, the hotel’s location is great. If you’re visiting Universal parks or just on your way to the north of Florida on the Florida’s Turnpike, this hotel is a great choice. I recommend it.

We stayed at this La Quinta for just one night, and overall it was a pleasant and easy stop. The room was clean, carpeted, and comfortable, and the hot shower was definitely appreciated — especially after a chilly day. The hotel is in a quiet, clean neighborhood with several attractions nearby, which made the location a nice surprise. Even with only one elevator, it made sense for a three‑story building and wasn’t an issue during our stay. The only thing I didn’t enjoy as much was having to walk to the next building for breakfast in the cold morning air. Not a big problem, but something to keep in mind if you’re visiting during cooler weather. Overall, it was a simple, comfortable stay with a great location and a wonderfully hot shower.

Good location, kind and friendly staff. We had a good overall stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites. The room was clean, and the staff was super friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating. The location is excellent if you’re visiting Universal Studios, less than 15 minutes walking that’s very convenient. They offer a shuttle at 8:00 AM, and if you prefer Uber, it’s usually under $10 or less depending on the time. The area also felt safe, which is a big plus for me and my daughter.||On the downside, the bathroom felt old and not very well maintained, which took away from the comfort of the room. The complimentary breakfast was also disappointing. I understand it’s included, but the quality was not good at all.

Positive: Breakfast Negative: No lockers for valuable personal items and the swimming pool is small and not well cleaned.

I chose this hotel because of the advertised free shuttle to Universal, but at check-in no one mentioned it only runs only at 8:00 AM and 5:30 PM. This forced us to pay for last-minute parking and added unexpected costs. The room had a strong mold/cleaning chemical smell that triggered respiratory allergies, especially for my child. The carpet was stained, there was dust in the corners, and the outlets were loose and felt unsafe. Despite the good location, I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it. The hotel needs better maintenance and more transparency about the shuttle service.
